December is a great time to look back on the year and see what lessons we learned, what successes we saw, and make a plan for a better year.
2018 was our 18th year in business and brought many exciting developments. In April, the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council awarded our CEO, Claudine George, with the Legacy Award. She was selected for being an industry leader and supporting women and minority-owned businesses. At the 34th Annual Awards Dinner Celebration on April 26, Claudine gave a few remarks before accepting her award.
“Awards make you feel really good. But, it’s even more of an honor to know Michelle Richards. The real honor is that I get the opportunity to work with her and everyone associated with this great association,” George said on stage at the gala, before receiving of her award that night and hugging Richards, who was also on the stage. A group from the Troy office was there to see this great moment.
In June, we were on the host committee of the 2018 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair. The conference came to Detroit’s Cobo Center and brought thousands of people around the country from June 18 to June 21. Hundreds of visitors stopped at our booth on the Business Fair day to get some cool promo items and learn more about what we do.
Attendees had a chance to learn about the Motor City through the Discover Detroit game app, which we developed just for the conference.
ICONMA won 10 new awards this year, including being named an Allegis Global Solutions Strategic Partner. We also expanded our technology partnerships by becoming Adobe Solutions Partners and SAP Edge Partners. Our client list grew and we added great new people to the ICONMA family all across the country.
In all, 2018 was a great year at ICONMA, and we’re looking forward to an even better 2019.
