We live in a digital world, but there’s still a lot of value that can get from making face-to-face connections. That’s why this year we hosted a series of events in the Dallas – Fort Worth area. Our goal was to add value for Tech, Engineering, and Marketing professionals. We also wanted to let people know about how ICONMA helps professionals get jobs with great companies. We utilized the beautiful spaces at We Work Legacy North and We Work Legacy West in Plano where our local office is located.
Our first event, Up Your Game!, was on May 17th We had a panel of speakers that included Uni Rosales Yost, CEO/Founder of GoAskJay.com; John M. Bell, Partner, Prismatic Solutions; and Rehan Nizami, an expert in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. ICONMA’s Brigitte Neumayr also joined the panel.
The conversation focused on advice for a career boost. There was also time set aside for networking and attendees walked away having added a few more connections to their network.
On July 11, we gathered engineering professionals for Let’s Talk Engineering. Nathan Kassees, Senior Engineer at P.E., was our guest speaker. He led a discussion on how technology is
changing city infrastructure and a variety of other engineering and career-related topics.
We hosted a general audience for our Network Mixer where the focus was networking. It’s great to create an environment where people can expand their network.
In August, we held Marketing Mind Meetup: Designing the Future of the World on the 22nd. . This event was for the area creatives to learn about trends in marketing. Arek Skuza, Innovative Management Strategist joined us to share his perspectives. GoAskJay.com CEO Uni Rosales Yost also sat on our panel.
Our HR Best Practices Workshop was on September 19. Instead of our WeWork offices, we moved the event to Addison Treehouse, to be more central to the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Human Resource directors and professionals came to hear how they can help their company win the talent wars. Our panel included Ashley Mr. Ridgeway-Washington, Human Resources System Director of Christus Health; Kevin Giles, Partner at Employee Money Solutions; and local industry leader Ryan Mitchell.
All of these events wouldn’t have been possible without the work and leadership of our Plano team members Anurag Ranjan and Kashif Khan. We have more great events planned in the near future and in 2020. Make sure to connect with ICONMA on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to hear about our upcoming events.
