ICONMA’s Diversity

ICONMA is committed to driving diversity and inclusion by celebrating everyone’s rich dimensions and authenticity within our organization. As an equal opportunity employer, we pride ourselves in creating an employment environment and workforce that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship/immigration status, or disability (physical or neurodiverse), and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law or ordinance.

ICONMA has worked continuously to maximize its own diversity as a WBE since achieving certification from NWBOC and WBENC. Partnering with clients nationwide who encourage MWBEs has allowed ICONMA to build a solid name for itself and generate revenues.

WBE Partnerships

ICONMA realizes that having WBE certification allows us as an organization to move to the next level. ICONMA’s business model encourages partnerships with other MWBEs. These partnerships with MWBEs are critical to the success of our business. This only enhances ICONMA’s strong business foundation, by bringing similar resources together for one common goal: deliver high quality service while being responsible, flexible, and innovative.

Benefits of our Diversity Program include the following:

  • Broad client base. ICONMA’s current client base gives us national exposure and spans many diverse industries.
  • Assistance in growing your organization’s business.
  • Networking with other MWBEs.
  • Mentoring emerging MWBEs.

Diversity through Our Employees

ICONMA aggressively supports and promotes equal opportunity hiring of people with disabilities, aboriginals, visible minorities, and women. The diversity of our internal staff at ICONMA reflects our commitment to equal opportunity hiring. Our Diversity Hiring Coordinator is a minority who specializes in diversity placements. ICONMA’s Diversity Mandate: We provide a link between employers seeking to enrich their workforce diversity and a pool of diverse candidates who are searching for an opportunity to perform to their full potential. Our mandate is to help employers embrace the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual. As an equal opportunity employer, we pride ourselves on creating an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, citizenship, or disability. This commitment extends to all areas of employment practices including hiring, compensation, benefits, promotion, training, and layoff or termination.

ICONMA promotes diversity within the company. In an effort to recruit and hire minorities and women not currently in the workforce, we contact the following:

  • High minority enrollment colleges Minority/female candidates. We advertise in minority-related & female-related papers and online.
  • Department of Labor employment and training services in various cities and states as well as Internet national databases.
  • Office of Minority Business Enterprise in various cities and states.
  • Recent research suggests that within the next year 6.5 million African Americans, 5.4 million Hispanics and 2.5 million Asian Americans will be online. In addition, a second study conducted showed 76% of African Americans and 68% of Latinos said they typically visit an ethnic site as part of their internet experience. The same study found 50% of African American respondents used the internet for job searching compared to 38% of Latinos. We have programs that will effectively target these minority groups. We use online resources effectively to attract minority candidates.
