What does a typical day as an Account Specialist look like?
“One of the best things about my job is that every day is a little different! But I can confirm that every single day starts with a cup of coffee 😉 As an Account Support Specialist one of the more interesting things about my role is seeing the recruitment process from the very beginning of the job creation with the client, to the interview process (and everything in between), to the very end where the contractor begins the onboarding process with ICONMA. As an added bonus, one of my job responsibilities is building relationships with the client managers and working closely with them regarding our contractors and any and all feedback they would like to share. So, with that, I’m able to keep a pulse on where many of our contractors are and how they are doing on assignments.
My day always starts reviewing the contractor
updates from our Background Check Representative. I work closely with her and our CRS and recruiting team to make sure we have the correct and accurate documents needed in order to clear our contractors to begin their assignment. I also work directly with our onsite MSP contacts to make sure that the onboarding process is flowing effectively on their end as well and that there are no snags in the process so that the contractor can begin their assignment without any issues. Our goal is to onboard someone as quickly and efficiently as possible, with several steps in the process need to be completed…Attention to detail is extremely important, and communication is key!
A major part of why I was brought to the team on the Account Management side was due to my ability to connect with my fellow team members and contractors. So, each day I reach out managers regarding active contractors to check in and see how things are going on assignment as well as connect regarding any extensions or contract ends. Although, on such a large account, that is just a small part of my day. Every day I work with my support team on accepting and managing new offers, answering manager and onsite inquires, sharing client feedback, as well as working closely with our CRS on our newest and current onboards.”
What I love about my job
“First and foremost, I love that I get to make connections every day. My goals literally center around making and building relationships…and as a self-proclaimed social butterfly, I love this! I love being able to not only work directly with the client and their leadership, but I love that I get to work with everyone on our ICONMA Client’s Team directly. I work closely with not only our Background Check Team, but my fellow AM’s and support team, our CRS, and even our recruiters and the recruitment team.
Also, the support that ICONMA gives its employees is unequivocally unmatched. In my professional career, I’ve worked for big corporations, small locally owned businesses – to everything in between! But what ICONMA has done for me (and so many others who have come before me) is invest in me as not only an employee but as a person. I started with ICONMA as a CRS in March of 2021 and by January of 2022, I was beginning my next chapter at ICONMA and exploring a new role and promotion. This new venture was presented to me directly by my leadership.
They identified the strengths that I brought to my team and approached me about a new opportunity. I have never worked for a company that saw my hard work and didn’t take advantage of it – until now. They observed my skillset and identified a new role that would allow me to continue to grow and flourish, and for that, I will be forever grateful.”
ICONMA is hiring!
